Lithuanian creativity and craftsmanship were recognized at one of the UK’s most significant exhibitions for architects, interior designers, and construction industry professionals – the Surface Design Show 2025.
This year, the prestigious award at the event was won by the interior design studio Accanto Interiors. Meanwhile, company Ecohardwood showcased high-quality oak flooring, oak doors, oak stairs, and oak wall cladding, further establishing Lithuania’s reputation as a producer of high-quality, sustainable, and innovative building materials.
The event concluded with a networking gathering, Lithuanian Women in Design and Architecture Networking Event, dedicated to Lithuanian women working in interior design, architecture, and other creative and construction-related fields. It took place at the London showroom of Narbutas, a globally recognized office furniture manufacturer founded by Lithuanians.
Award for Restaurant Interior Design
Accanto Interiors is a London-based interior design studio co-founded by Lina Vlasovaite, specializing in prestigious, high-quality interior design solutions for both residential and commercial spaces.
The studio won the Surface Design Awards in the Light & Surface Interior category for their work on the interior of the restaurant Grilandia. Their design stood out for its sophisticated combination of lighting and surface materials, creating a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The restaurant's interior features natural wood accents, modern lighting technologies, and a refined colour balance, giving the space a unique character.

Grilandia is a Lebanese restaurant chain operating throughout West London, known not only for its authentic Mediterranean cuisine but also for its interiors, which blend classic style with contemporary elements.

Lithuania’s Name Strengthened Through Quality
Also participating in the exhibition was Ecohardwood, a Lithuanian company that has been operating in the UK for over 12 years. The company specializes in manufacturing of high-quality oak flooring, doors, stairs, and wall panels. Their factory has been producing top-quality oak products for over 25 years, ensuring not only style and beauty but also longevity, sustainability and durability.

Ecohardwood has firmly established itself in the UK construction market, serving both private and commercial clients. According to Ecohardwood director Aistė Freestone, participating in the exhibition was an excellent opportunity to showcase their products to a wider audience and establish new connections with architects and interior designers from around the world.

Lithuanian Women in Design and Architecture Community
The exhibition concluded with the Lithuanian Women in Design and Architecture Networking Event, held at Narbutas’ London showroom in the Clerkenwell district. The event aimed to inspire and unite talented Lithuanian women working in architecture, construction, interior design, and creative industries.
Attendees had the opportunity to connect, share ideas, engage in discussions, and establish professional relationships. The gathering provided a platform for both experienced professionals and emerging designers and architects to join the community, celebrate Lithuanian creators' achievements, and strengthen international connections.
